“Coffey have been a valued  Contractor at the London Clinic for a number of years. All of these high quality works have been carried out in a live hospital environment on an extremely tight site in central London. Their approach to safety is excellent and they adopt a exibleapproach to help manage noiseand vibration issues within the hospital.” Martyn Thorogood, Senior Project Manager, The London Clinic.

The project at The London Clinic included the refurbishment of the 4th floor MITU theatre suites, recovery rooms and associated storage rooms, corridors and staff break out areas. The challenge presented to J Coffey Construction was to minimise disruption to the day to day running of the Clinic. This involved meticulous planning and meant that all materials had to be distributed to the workface before 8am or after 8pm and noisy working restrictions were imposed.

Meeting the programme was also critical with only 17 calender days allowed to complete the works with patients booked in for procedures in the new theatres immediately following completion.

J Coffey Construction delivered the project on time and within budget and continues to enjoy an ongoing relationship working with The London Clinic which was optimised by the close collaboration in the short lead-in period.
