These mixed-use projects involved the conversion of the existing derelict retail and office terrace buildings, each with a basement and two/ three additional floors, into 15 modern apartments and three new retail units.

The contracts included major structural repairs, re-modelling and temporary works, as well as signi cant upgrades to meet current building standards. The Catherine Grove project also included structural strengthening works which included façade retentions, new section of piling and the installation of new retaining walls.

The new apartments were fully fitted out with high quality bathrooms and kitchens and had timber deck balconies and terraces at the rear of the properties.

All new services were provided with whole house ventilation and heat recovery units and gas red wet central heating system.

All the windows were replaced with timber sash windows with stringent acoustic properties to counter the traf c noise of Blackheath Road.

The traditional Victorian shop fronts were refurbished or replaced sensitively to match existing within this Conservation Area. Neighbourly liaison was always in consideration with respect to the hotel facility at the rear of our site.
